Trend Setter Stockholm AB was founded in 1998 by Lotta Åhdén. The interest for machine embroidery and digitising arised when visiting textile fairs in Bangkok and Hong Kong in the middle of the 90th's. Watching a commercial embroidery machine sew out a large back embroidery for the first time was amazing!
After very careful evaluation of different embroidery machines and embroidery design softwares we were the first Swedish (even the first European) company who bought Barudan 15-needle embroidery machines with 45x43 cm embroidery area. It was a brand new type of machine which was not sold in Europe at this time, so we had Barudan's Swedish distributor to import them directly from Japan.
When it came to embroidery design software we choosed the australian company Wilcom's most advanced level, a decision we never regretted.
The company is located in the central area (Södermalm) of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. .
